12/24/2022 0 Comments Skype freezing up whyile loading![]() Freezing up isn't uncommon when using FaceTime though so I wouldn't worry too much about it.ĮDIT: I would say that your Mom in Poland might have seen a slower connection and should check in with her service provider to see if theres something going on or speeds were changed. ![]() Don't forget that the problem might not be your connection but the other persons connection as well. Mainly distance and connection speed are the primary factors in it working but even then it won't always work and using a cellular connection is really not going to be like we see it in the commercials and should be done over WiFi. When I called whilst in London/Ireland it constantly dropped even though we were both on WiFi because the connection was too slow and the information was being sent a third of the way around the world. I use FT regularly and it will freeze up for about 10-15 seconds usually when initiating the connection between the two devices and then cut through to the normal viewing. It can freeze up sometimes because of the connection between the two devices not being fast enough as well or if it's having to contact someone from a very far distance. If your hard drive passes your test, then it's physically fine, so the cause of the problem must be with Windows, in which case the next step will solve the problem.FaceTime uses a large amount of processing power and when the call is being placed it is normal to experience a freezing when the two devices are finalizing the connection. After replacing the hard drive, you'll need to reinstall Windows. Firstly check that the video cable is fully plugged into the dock and the monitor. This can be caused by loose video cables or USB instability. ![]() ![]() Replace your hard drive if your tests show an issue. Or your DisplayLink display freezes or locks up, while directly connected screens, eg the built in laptop screen, continue to work. A hard drive that can't read and write information properly certainly can't load an operating system properly. A physical problem with your hard drive is certainly a reason why Windows might reboot continuously, freeze completely, or stop in its tracks. Test the hard drive with a free hard drive testing program. It may be that one of the below solutions is necessary to fix your problem but if you haven't been diligent in your troubleshooting up to this point, you can't know for sure that one of the easier solutions above isn't the right one. Steps 14 and 15 both involve more difficult and destructive solutions to freezing, stopping, and continuous reboot problems during Windows startup. ![]() Make sure you've tried your best to complete the troubleshooting steps up to this one. ![]()
